PiiGAB QuickPost exports measurement data as a file to FTP/sFTP or Http Post/HTTP Post server according to the desired interval and resolution of the data.

Den vanligaste metoden att läsa av mätare idag är via en klientmjukvara som sedan skickar dessa mätardata vidare till en fil, databas eller liknande. Genom att låta PiiGAB 900 Gateway själv läsa och skicka dina mätvärden till en server behövs därmed ingen mellanliggande dator för att hantera kommunikationen med databasen. För att posta mätardata används endast en slavport på PiiGAB 900 Gateway. De andra portarna kan fortfarande användas som tidigare för att ansluta separata M-Bus klienter och/eller en Modbus klient för exempelvis direkt avläsning av mätare.
HOW QUICKPOST WORKS
The PiiGAB 900 Gateway with QuickPost consists of two applications, one of which handles the actual reading of the meter data. The other manages which meter data is to be read, stored and where it is to be sent. The M-Bus ASCII protocol (developed by PiiGAB) is a method to communicate with the OPC Item directly to the PiiGAB 900 Gateway internally or externally. These OPC Items are then unpacked locally in the PiiGAB 900 Gateway. For example, the OPC Item or the tag "House X.Heating.Return" will make the PiiGAB 900 Gateway read the content from the configured meter. Then this M-Bus data is sent back to the M-Bus ASCII client to be stored in the file that will later be posted to an HttpPost or an FTP server.
