Customer:
The Apaløkka and Grorud schools are located in Oslo municipality in Norway.
Oslo Municipality is a customer of Autic System.
Autic has delivered products and software for automation and industrial IT for over 25 years through integrators all over Norway. Some of the core areas are within: SCADA, HMI, control systems and industrial communication.
The Challenge:
The Municipality of Oslo wanted to record indoor climate data for Apaløkka and Grorud schools in its control system. They wanted to record Co2, temperature and humidity in more than 250 rooms.
The Solution:
Each building in the schools was equipped with a PiiGAB 900S which can receive wireless meters on M-Bus. They also set up repeaters to ensure maximum coverage. The measurement is performed with sensors that combine Co2, temp and humidity in the same sensor. As the installation does not require any programming, but only simple configuration via web interface, these are very easy to work with.
With wireless sensors, you avoid expensive and time-consuming wiring to install measuring equipment in existing buildings. Also suitable for supplementing an existing wired measurement infrastructure. In PiiGAB's Gateways you can combine wired and wireless M-Bus.
Johnson Controls has integrated data from PiiGAB 900S Gateway in its centralised operations management system via Modbus TCP.
We at PiiGAB are happy to have been involved in the project.
sensors were used in the project.
Wireless sensors eliminate the need for expensive and time-consuming cabling to install measuring equipment in existing buildings.
