The most common IP configuration of the PiiGAB M-Bus 900 Gateway is for static IP address. The gateway is set to DHCP by default when it is delivered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u00a0DHCP network<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If you have a network with DHCP, you can connect your PiiGAB M-Bus 900 gateway to it and the gateway will get the IP configuration automatically.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Static IP<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If you do not have a network with DHCP, you will need to set your PiiGAB M-Bus 900 gateway to a static IP address.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00a0If you have an old computer, you may need a network switch between the computer and the PiiGAB M-Bus 900 gateway.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"384\" height=\"172\" src=\"https:\/\/www.piigab.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/gateaway.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-61110\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.piigab.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/gateaway.png 384w, https:\/\/www.piigab.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/gateaway-300x134.png 300w, https:\/\/www.piigab.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/gateaway-18x8.png 18w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 384px) 100vw, 384px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" type=\"1\"><li>Set your computer to a static IP address.  For example:<ul><li>IP address: 192.168.10.1.<\/li><li>\u00a0Network mask: 255.255.255.0.<\/li><li>Gateway: 192.168.10.254.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>Start the PiiGAB M-Bus Setup Wizard and go to the main menu.<\/li><li>Select<em> Change IP settings for gateway<\/em>.<\/li><li>Pressure<em> on Next<\/em> to continue.<\/li><li>Select<em> Configure IP with network (UDP broadcast)<\/em>.<\/li><li>In the field<em> MAC address<\/em> enter the MAC address of the PiiGAB M-Bus 900 gateway.<\/li><li>Pressure<em> on Next<\/em> to continue.<\/li><li>Select<em> Use the following IP-address<\/em>.<\/li><li>Enter the IP configuration. The PiiGAB M-Bus 900 gateway should match the IP address of your computer.<\/li><li>Pressure<em> on Next<\/em> to continue.<\/li><li>Pressure<em> on Apply<\/em> to set up the IP configuration.<\/li><li>Wait for the PiiGAB M-Bus 900 gateway to restart.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"384\" height=\"168\" src=\"https:\/\/www.piigab.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Bild7.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-61111\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.piigab.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Bild7.png 384w, https:\/\/www.piigab.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Bild7-300x131.png 300w, https:\/\/www.piigab.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Bild7-18x8.png 18w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 384px) 100vw, 384px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00a0The PiiGAB M-Bus Setup Wizard may signal that the MAC address could not be set. Ignore this warning. The IP address should be set anyway.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" type=\"1\"><li>Pressure<em> on Back<\/em> three times to return to the main menu.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Find your PiiGAB M-Bus 900 in your network<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>You can use the PiiGAB M-Bus Setup Wizard to find your PiiGAB M-Bus 900S on the network.
