Technical specifications
The interface of the gateway consists of an Ethernet connection, a serial port, four parallel outputs for the M-Bus connections, and a connection for voltage supply.
There is also a possibility to connect a safety earth if the gateway is being used in environments with a lot of disturbance.
On the front of the gateway there are three leds that are indicating the voltage feed, transmit and response of the M-Bus messages. The voltage leds have different behaviors depending on normal running, short circuit or overload of the M-Bus loop.
The gateway may be remotely configured using the built-in web-interface, Telnet or with the configuration tool M-Bus Wizard. With the Wizard the gateway can also be configured directly at site using a serial connection. The latter method ensures the highest possible level of security. The Telnet setup makes the gateway operative system independent, which means e.g. Linux may be used.
Technical information about the gateway can be found to the right. Please turn to the manual for a total technical description, installation help etc.
