M-Bus

M-Bus (Meter-Bus) is a cost effective field bus used to transfer consumption data from different type of meters. A central master such as a PC with a gateway from Ethernet to M-Bus or RS232 to M-Bus communicate via a 2-thread bus with units (up to 250 slave units per segment ) such as heat meters, water meters, electricity meters, gas meters as well as other type of sensors.
